Kuala
Lumpur City Center
In
the heart of Kuala Lumpur (the capitol of Malaysia) is the city center
(KLCC). This is where the famed Petronas Twin Towers are.
These towering buildings contain 88 storeys. They claim it is the tallest
building in the world although some debate this. The KL twin towers have
structure that goes high (but the top 100 feet is decorative spires rather
than usable building space). The Sears Tower in Chicago is taller if you
are talking about usable building space. If you purely measure the height
of structures, then the CN Tower in Canada is taller. Regardless, their
height and duality make them quite impressive.
Also, in the KLCC is a huge mall. The second picture shows the middle
of this six storey mall.
Finally, the KLCC has a nice park area with a swimming area for kids,
a fountain with moving jets, and artistic statues (that's a whale in the
third picture).
