Fun in Sydney

We enjoyed some of Sydney's many diversions. There weren't any rugby matches playing so we jumped on a ferry and cruised over to Manly Beach. This is a commuter ferry so it was only about $5 round trip. At Manly Beach, there were some beginner surfers in the calm waves. In September, the winter cold was gone but it wasn't quite warm enough to have big crowds at the beach yet.

Back in downtown, we rode to the top of the AMP Tower and caught some great views of the city.

There are also tours of the nearby mountains available from Sydney. More on that next.
