Andrea and I completed a whirlwind tour of Australia in September, 2003.

Australia is huge and really requires more than two weeks but we were determined to experience as much as we could. We enjoyed the city life of Sydney; we soaked up the Great Barrier Reef near Cairns; and we basked in the hot sun of the Australian outback in Yulara.

It was a triumph of the internet that we managed to research flights, book most of our hotels, book a scuba trip, book a snorkling trip, and get tickets to the opera all on the internet before we ever left home.
