Wedding
Ceremony
In
September of 2001, Andrea and I got married in Nova Scotia, Canada. It
was a nice little ceremony of about 45 people at White Point Beach Resort.
We were so happy that people made the extra effort to get there from Chicago,
Los Angeles, Colorado, all over Canada and even England.
The plan was for the wedding to be on the beach but we moved inside because
of rain. Rain on your wedding day is lucky (we're told).
Father MacLeod gave us his recipe for success in marriage which he called
Father MacLeod's stew: One must have teachability, hospitality, responsibility,
and compatibility.
Andrea was beautiful in her wedding dress that she created herself.
Toward the end of the ceremony, Andrea and I sang "Edelweiss"
together. This song is special to us because it is the first song we sang
together in harmony. Like Edelweiss in the song, may our love bloom and
grow forever.
