Rhinos

Monkey at Singapore Zoo

Kangaroo at Singapore Zoo

Beautiful Zoo

The zoo was so awsome, I had to give you more. Singapore would be all rainforest if there were no people here. The zoo is just carved out of the forest. Walking around, you get the idea that they just picked a nice spot in the forest and said, "Let's put some walking paths right here."

Behind the rhinos, most zoos would have a painting of a river and the rainforest. In the first picture, you see that there is actually a river and the rainforest that provide the backdrop for the zoo.

In the second picture, Andrea watches a black monkey scurry across the path and climb the tree (again, no cage, no moat, the monkey is as free as the people). You can see, it uses it's tail to reach up and grab the tree just like another limb.

In the third picture, I sat down to watch the kangaroos and one wandered right up to me.

Although not shown, there were also foot-long fruit fly bats hanging from a tree with no divider between you and the bat. Lots of zoo favorites were there behind 15 foot wide moats like zebras, lions, tigers, baboons, chimps, orangutans, you name it!
