Chiang Mai is a great place to visit in northern Thailand. It has all the best of Thailand: large bustling markets, lots of nearby rainforest, and of course, very friendly people.

In the top picture, a local tribeswoman lifts a basket on her back near a well stocked fruitstand.

We traveled to Chiang Mai with my parents. In the second picture, we sat on the floor at the "Antique House" restaurant which had great atmosphere and even better food.

In the third picture Andrea leads the way as we wander through some of the lush vegetation that grows so easily here.
