Deception Pass

Deception Pass is a strip of water between Fidalgo Island and Whidbey Island. It got it's "deception" name because as you pass through, it seems as though you are entering a bay but actually you are just going between two islands.

It's a popular place to sea kayak because it is picturesque and it has challenging fast currents. It will be a while before I think about tackling that challenge.

When the fog rolls in, it is spooky and yet beautiful.
