Fidalgo Island

Fidalgo island is just a short bridge from the mainland in the Northwest corner of Washington State. It's the home of Anacortes whose population of about 15000 enjoys a big community forest and another big forested park.

In the first picture, Andrea and Alex enjoy the view from the top of Mount Erie, the highest point the island. The view includes the San Juan Islands and, on a clear day, distant mountains.

The second picture shows downtown Anacortes and the third picture is the West side of the island.

Anacortes welcomed us in February, 2005 with one of the sunniest Februarys the Northwest has ever seen.
